Hungry, Hungry Piggy

February 16, 2009

My son doesn't really understand money yet, but he knows he like it and that his piggy bank gets hungry for "pennies" as he likes to call them. I have been wondering how I can help him with money matters and learning to save. At least with him not understanding the value of money yet he is quite happy to put any money he gets from his grandmothers into his piggy bank. July 09, 2008

For day two we go across the Lion's Gate Bridge and explore the North Shore and Bowen Island. The North Shore is know for great skiing and hiking and beautiful homes. I decided to try to include a bit of the North Shore so we could have both the water and the mountains included. The water and the mountains are such a big part of Vancouver that they both needed to be included. The following activities are both fun and family friendly. Photo  Read more...

June 23, 2008

Almost every little boy and a lot of little girls love pirates and the lure of finding treasure. Taking an ordinary day and making it one your preschooler will not soon forget is the aim. I will let you in on a few good ways to achieve this in Vancouver. Photo by Gwen Floyd The first step to creating the pirate theme is the costume. Things to do in Vancouver Before Your Child Grows Up

June 12, 2008

Vancouver is a great city and there are a number of things that you should do here with your kids before they grow up. Some are easy and you will do many times while others will be once in a lifetime opportunities. I will start with 5, but I expect there will be many added in other posts. 1: Take snowboard or skiing lessons on the local mountains. If you live in greater Vancouver,  Read more...
