Mother's Day Madness

I love that there is a day to celebrate mothers, I really do, but sometimes I find the implied obligations are a little much. I do not expect lots of gifts, cards or really anything except some nice family time. So with that in mind I am going to list a few things I might like to do with my family for Mother's Day.

1. Have a nice breakfast with my husband and sons. This will include waffles or pancakes, bacon and eggs.

2. Go for a leisurely walk along the seawall. Maybe pick up some nice bread from Terra Breads, or some Fudge from the Granville Island Market.

3. Curl up with my boys with a new movie and some serious junk-food. I am thinking maybe Bedtime Stories or The Tale of Despereaux.

4. If we could get a babysitter, then a trip out to the movies to see the newest Star Trek would be in order.

5. If we are feeling really decadent then a trip out for dinner may be in order, but if not some steak on the BBQ will be just grand.
